Leaving the Coventry area this morning you travel though the famous Lake District of England an area that boasts more than its fair share of outstanding natural beauty. This is the land that inspired poets for centuries, a region of hospitality and hearty country fare.

DAY 5 / LAKE DISTRICT / OBAN
Today you leave for Scotland's western coast, to the charming seaport of Oban, a popular tourist destination located on the Firth of Lorn. Enjoy this scenic town which is the gateway to the Islands of the Inner Hebrides.

DAY 6 / IONA / OBAN
A ferry takes you to the Island of Mull. On Mull, a scenic drive takes you to a second short ferry ride to the island of Iona, an early center of the Celtic Church. St. Columba and his disciples landed here from Ireland in 536 AD, and founded the famous monastery. Iona became a key center for the spread of Christianity throughout the northern part of Britain.

Continue along Princes Street, a main shopping thoroughfare, to the Sir Walter Scott Memorial. This afternoon, enjoy an excursion to St. Andrews, named after Scotlands Patron Saint. You will visit the site of the ruins of the cathedral which dates back to 1160. This evening, enjoy a special Scottish Folkloric dinner with entertainment.

DAY 9 / EDINBURGH / YORK AREA
Drive back across the border into England, over the Cheviot Hills and the Pennine Mountain range to York. With its ancient fortifications, York is one of the few medieval cities still in existence. The curfew bell on the Tower of St. Michael's Church has tolled nightly with few exceptions since 1066. A highlight of your day is a visit to York Minster, the largest Gothic Cathedral in England.

DAY 10 / YORK AREA / EPWORTH / LONDON
History abounds as you travel today via the great wool cities of Yorkshire and the romantic and legend-filled shire of Nottingham. You pass grassy pasturelands dotted with unspoiled villages, and the rolling country of the Hertfordshire. You will stop at Epworth, birthplace of John Wesley. You arrive this evening in London.
