Day 1/ DEPARTURE
Depart the US on your overnight flight to Ireland.
Day 2/ IRELAND/ GALWAY
After arriving in Ireland, we travel from the airport to your hotel in
Killarney. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 3/ KILLARNEY/ RING OF KERRY
A full day of touring awaits you as you start off on this popular
scenic drive, The Ring of Kerry. Travel through some of Ireland’s
highest mountains, the MacGillycuddy Reeks, and view the wild and
scenic Atlantic coastline. Drive through the charming villages of
Cahirciveen and Derrynane. Finally, head back to Killarney through a
mountain pass known as Moll’s Gap.
Day 4/ KILLARNEY/ WATERFORD
This morning, you will head east to Blarney Castle to kiss the "Blarney
Stone," which will bless you with "the gift of eloquence." Shop here at
the Woolen Mill for many traditional Irish products. Travel through
Cork on to Cobh. At the Heritage Center, you can trace the history of
emigration from Ireland to the United States.
Day 5/ WATERFORD/ DUBLIN
Visit the Waterford
Crystal Factory to see the cutting and polishing of this world famous
product. Of course, there will be a shopping opportunity before you
head north to Kilkenny. Visit the Castle, which dates back to the 13th
century. Continue through County Kildare before arriving in Dublin.
Day 6/ DUBLIN
This morning, enjoy a
city sightseeing tour of Dublin, a great literary city. It has given
the world many famous writers including 3 Nobel Prize winners. Visit
the 400-year-old Trinity College, the Alma Mater to many of the great
Irish writers and poets. See the book of Kells, a beautifully
illuminated manuscript of
the Gospels dating from the 8th century. At Dublin Castle, you will
visit the State Apartments and the Chapel. This afternoon is free to
finish your shopping or perhaps do more sightseeing. This evening, you
will have a special dinner at the Abbey Tavern, where you will enjoy
traditional Irish music and singing.
DAY 7/ DUBLIN / GLASGOW / MULL
Depart this morning for
the Dublin airport for your flight to Glasgow, Scotland. Upon arrival,
you will continue to Oban, were you will take a ferry to the island of
Mull, for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8/ MUL / IONA / OBAN
Today you leave early for a short ferry ride to the island of Iona, an
early center of the Celtic church.
St. Columba and his disciples landed here from Ireland in 536 AD, and
founded the famous monastery. Iona became a key center for the spread
of Christianity throughout the northern part of Britain. Then, we leave
Iona for Mull, and continue to Scotland’s charming seaport of Oban, on
the Firth of Lorn, a popular tourist destination. Enjoy this scenic
town, which is the gateway to the islands of the Inner Hebrides.
DAY 9/ OBAN / SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS / ST.
ANDREWS
This morning, travel
via the Scottish Highlands to St. ANndrews, stopping en route at Blair
Castle. We continue on to St. Andrews for an overnight visit.

10/ ST. ANDREWS /EDINBURGH
This morning, we enjoy sightseeing in St. Andrews, named after
Scotland’s Patron Saint.
You will visit the site of the ruins of the cathedral which dates back
to 1160. We then proceed to Edinburgh, where we enjoy a special
Scottish Folkloric dinner with entertainment. >
DAY 11/ EDINBURGH
This morning, tour Edinburgh, the noble and historical capital of
Scotland. As you travel “The Royal Mile” you will see Edinburgh Castle,
the medieval fortress perched above the city, John Knox’s House, St.
Giles Cathedral and the Palace of Holyrood all associated with Mary,
Queen of Scots. Continue along Princes Street, a main shopping
thoroughfare, to the Sir Walter Scott Memorial. Tonight you will attend
a presentation of the world renowned Military Tattoo.
DAY 12/ HOME
This morning, we transfer to the airport and bid farewell as
you depart for home. You will bring with you many fond
memories of your travels..
